About Revelation

Revelation is proudly affiliated with Ottawa Academy of Martial Arts (OAMA)/Team Renzo Gracie Ottawa (OAMA). Our instructors have years of learning experience under the tutelage of Pat Cooligan and Matt "Hammer Hache.

Our focus is maintaining the highest level of instruction in BJJ. We understand BJJ is known as the most effective martial art in the world (despite being relatively new by martial arts standards). We emphasize technique and position as these factors will dictate the outcome of a fight whether in competition or on the street. BJJ is easy and fun to learn, but takes hard work, discipline and dedication to master.

Adult Programs

Muay Thai is a style of kickboxing and the national sport of Thailand. It uses punches, kicking, knees and elbows as well as using the clinch both offensive and defensively. You will learn to use your entire body when executing techniques properly

MUAY THÁI KICKBOXING

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art and combat sport that teaches a smaller person how to defend themselves against a larger adversary both by using leverage and proper technique. It contains stand-up maneuvers, but is primarily famous for devastating ground fighting techniques. Gaining superior positioning-so one can apply the style's numerous chokes, holds, looks and joint manipulations on an opponent is the key in BJJ.

Braziian Jiu-Jitsu

We offer live sparring twice a week. This is time for team members to work their Muay THai togeter in a controlled enviroment with the appropriate safety equiptment. You must receive approval from a staff member before sparring for the first time

Sparring

We host open mats for live rolling 6 days a week. This is time for training partners to live roll, dril out technique or seek help from instructors.
